Japan Tobacco (JT) is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of the CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2026, a celebration of Japanese food culture, taking place from April 17 to April 29, 2026, at Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo. Known for its commitment to enhancing customer experiences, Ploom will create a special smoking space called the Ploom LOUNGE, designed specifically for individuals over the age of 20.
What to Expect at Ploom LOUNGE
During this 13-day event, Ploom LOUNGE will feature two designated smoking spaces where attendees can enjoy Ploom's exclusive products, including heated tobacco and traditional cigarettes. Adding a unique touch, the Ploom LOUNGE will collaborate with Shin Egawa, an experienced sake taster and owner-chef of the renowned restaurant, WASHOKU SHINKURO. This collaboration will introduce several original content offerings that enhance the overall experience.
In addition to the smoking facilities, attendees will have the chance to sample and purchase the Ploom AURA heated tobacco device. For those who buy a device on-site, a limited exchange service for an original front panel themed around the event’s signature drink, sake, will be available. This special service promises to make your smoking experience even more enjoyable, set against the vibrant atmosphere of spring.

About CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2026
Organized by JAPAN CRAFT SAKE COMPANY, headed by famed footballer Hidetoshi Nakata, CRAFT SAKE WEEK aims to showcase the culture of Japanese cuisine. This event began in 2016, spurred by Nakata’s encounters with various sake makers and a desire to share Japan’s rich culture with a wider audience. The festival has grown to encompass multiple locations, attracting over 1.25 million visitors to date.

Meet Shin Egawa
Shin Egawa, born in June 1992 in Shizuoka, fell in love with sake during his university years, obtaining qualifications as a sake taster. He opened WASHOKU SHINKURO in Gotanda, focusing on showcasing Japanese craft with a commitment to using only locally sourced ingredients.
