Crystal Williams Elected as Secretary for Women in HVACR
Crystal Williams, the founder of Lemon Seed Marketing, has recently been elected as the secretary for the Women in HVACR's board of directors. As a seasoned marketing strategist and a veteran in the home service industry, her inclusion in the executive board is seen as a significant step forward for the organization. Williams will be serving in this role for the year 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the HVAC and marketing realms.
Lemon Seed Marketing is known for its innovative branding and marketing strategies specifically tailored for the home service sector. With over five years of involvement with Women in HVACR, Williams has been instrumental in advocating for increased female representation within the industry. "Serving on the Women in HVACR board connects me with numerous women who represent the future of our industry," Williams expressed. She emphasized her commitment to supporting the mission and growth of women in trades, excited to contribute her time and professional expertise to this noble cause.
The executive board of Women in HVACR plays a pivotal role in guiding the organization toward fostering an inclusive environment for women entering the trades. Other elected members joining Crystal include president Kristen Gallup, vice president Jane Sidebottom, and treasurer Angela Miller. Each brings their own unique backgrounds and strengths to the table, aiming to enhance opportunities for women through education, networking, and mentorship.
Amy O'Grady, executive director of Women in HVACR, highlighted the value Williams brings: "Crystal has been a valued member for five years, and her insights are vital to our mission as we advance throughout the coming year." With her extensive background that began in 2011 in her family's HVAC business in Diboll, Texas, Williams has developed a strong foundation in the industry. As marketing director at McWilliams Son Heating and Air Conditioning, she helped grow the family-run business before branching out to create her own agency.
In 2020, Williams transformed her initial venture, Apex Marketing Firm, into Lemon Seed Marketing. Her agency focuses on empowering skilled trades by providing customized brand strategies and measurable marketing outcomes. This evolution mirrors the growing need for skilled professionals in the HVAC sector, especially among women aspiring to break into this traditionally male-dominated field.
Founded in 2002, Women in HVACR is dedicated to increasing women’s involvement in the HVACR industry through robust networking opportunities and scholarships for aspiring professionals. The organization actively hosts regional and national events, promoting an engaging community that enhances the presence of women in engineering, business, and vocational training related to HVACR.
As Williams takes on her new role with optimism and determination, her focus will be on ensuring that women in the HVACR field are not only supported but celebrated for their contributions. By creating platforms that empower women, she hopes to inspire the next generation of female leaders in the trades.
