Celebrate Japanese Literature at 'Girls' Bookshelf' Popup Exhibit

Tohan Corporation, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with CEO Hiroaki Kawakami, is excited to announce the upcoming pop-up store titled 'Girls' Bookshelf Literary Gallery'. This event will be held at magmabooks in Toranomon Hills starting from June 5, 2026.

About 'Girls' Bookshelf'

The 'Girls' Bookshelf' series merges classic Japanese literature with the artistic talents of contemporary illustrators. Launched in 2016, this unique collection showcases illustrations accompanying renowned literary works. To date, it has published 53 titles, with a total distribution of approximately 400,000 copies.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the pop-up exhibit will feature reproductions of illustrations from 14 titles within the series, alongside exclusive original merchandise for fans and visitors to enjoy.

Additionally, following this opening event, similar pop-up exhibitions will be held across various locations over time.
