Sozi Tulante served as Philadelphia's chief attorney from 2016 to 2018, where he led a formidable team of over 200 legal professionals. His leadership was crucial in representing the city in high-profile lawsuits and advising city officials including the mayor and city council. Tulante gained accolades for overseeing innovative civil litigation strategies in both state and federal courts, which significantly enhanced Philadelphia's legal standing in complex cases.

Before coming back to Dechert, Tulante was the general counsel and corporate secretary for a company focused on advanced energy storage systems. His experience there included managing global legal and compliance departments while offering strategic counsel on various commercial and legislative matters. In addition to his impressive career, Tulante remains active in the local legal community as an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law and serves on the board of trustees of the Wistar Institute.
