TechFrederick's 2026 Leadership Conversation with Renee Wynn

Renee Wynn, the former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of NASA. This event is set to take place at

Renee Wynn comes with a wealth of experience, boasting over three decades in federal leadership roles. During her time at NASA, she managed an impressive $2 billion IT portfolio, supporting a vast network of over 60,000 employees and contractors around the globe. Her pivotal contributions included the formulation of NASA's inaugural
enterprise IT strategic plan, a shift towards a centralized service model, and significant enhancements in cybersecurity, markedly reducing various risks across more than 150 performance metrics.
Before her tenure at NASA, Renee held multiple leadership positions at the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over 25 years, including Acting CIO and Assistant Administrator for the Office of Environmental Information. Her influence has been instrumental in shaping national strategies concerning cybersecurity, IT governance, and digital infrastructure.
Since retiring from federal service, Renee has remained influential as a strategic advisor to several organizations, including
Interos and
Palo Alto Networks. She is particularly passionate about advocating for diversity in cybersecurity careers, serving on the board of
The Women's Center.
