In that role, she oversaw crucial HR operations and collaborated with business partners to manage employee benefits and rewards. With over 15 years of extensive experience in human resources leadership, her previous positions included senior HR roles at notable companies such as Electra, Native Roots, and Brown and Caldwell. Additionally, Chapman held the roles of Director of Talent Management and Director of Talent Acquisition at Xcel Energy early in her career.

Doug Jaeger, President and CEO of Ulteig, expressed confidence in Chapman’s leadership style, highlighting her authenticity, empathy, and commitment to the company’s culture. Jaeger stated, “Sara’s leadership style reflects our dedication to maintaining Ulteig’s strong, people-centric culture.” Adding to this, he noted her strategic focus and results-driven attitude will elevate the HR organization toward long-term growth.

Currently, she is stationed at Ulteig’s office in Denver.

Sara takes over the role from Jim Horn, who has served as CHRO since 2016. Horn will remain with the company as an Executive Advisor through July 1, 2026, aiding in a seamless transition of leadership while reinforcing the firm’s values around inclusion, flexibility, and employee wellbeing.

Ulteig is known as an employee-owned entity providing innovative solutions across various sectors, including power, transportation, renewables, and water infrastructure. Employing more than 1,700 workers across North America and Costa Rica, the firm emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, fostering a community-oriented culture.
