Event Overview
Tokyo Language University, located in Toshima, Tokyo, marks a significant milestone this year as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. Established in collaboration with Beijing Language and Culture University and WEWORLD, the university has dedicated itself to nurturing skilled individuals fluent in languages and equipped with international perspectives since its founding in 2015.
To commemorate this important occasion, the university will host a special open course aimed at Chinese language educators. Scheduled for
September 20, 2025, this course will take place from
1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, with reception starting at
1:00 PM. Post-lecture, an exchange meeting for Chinese language teachers is planned, lasting until approximately
3:15 PM.
Course Details
The event is sponsored by the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, ensuring a reputable backdrop for discussions on the integration of AI technology in education. As interest in leveraging AI in educational settings grows, the theme of the course is
“Practical Applications of Generative AI in Chinese Language Classes.”

The lecture will feature
Professor Yoshihiro Hino from Meijiro University, a recognized expert in the practical application of ICT and AI in Chinese language education. Professor Hino will provide insights on specific applications of generative AI in classroom settings, sharing examples and discussing future possibilities in the realm of language teaching.
Participation Options
Participants can attend the event either in person at
Tokyo Language University located in
Shinjuku, Tokyo or join online via Zoom, allowing for accessibility for Chinese language educators nationwide. While attendance at the venue is limited to
30 participants, online registration can accommodate up to
100 educators on a first-come, first-served basis.
The participation in this course is
free of charge, and interested educators must register by
September 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM, after which registration will close once capacity is reached. Educators wishing to attend can secure their spot via the registration form available online.
Speaker Profile
Professor Yoshihiro Hino specializes in Chinese language education at Meijiro University, also serving as a consultant on Chinese language programs in the education department of Dwango. His research encompasses the history of Chinese language educational materials in modern Japan, alongside pioneering practices utilizing AI and ICT.
