Celebrating 100 Years of Toyo Gakuen with Exciting Events at Narushima Campus

Toyo Gakuen, also known as Toyo Gakuen Educational Institution, will celebrate its centenary with a special event named "Welcome Back to Narushima Campus" on May 2, 2026. This significant gathering is set to take place at the former Narushima Campus, which now houses the Minami Narushima Junior High School and serves as a testament to the institution's rich history.

This jubilant event aims to bring together alumni, their families, and former faculty members for a day of nostalgia and joy. The festivities will unfold in two main parts, offering both a chance to revisit cherished memories and to connect with the community. The first part, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, is a special guided tour specifically designed for alumni of Toyo Gakuen's short-term college and university, along with their families and former staff. This part of the event requires prior registration due to limited space. Participants will enjoy exclusive access to areas of the campus that are typically not open to the public, fostering a unique experience to walk through the corridors and grounds that hold years of shared history.

To enhance the experience, several photo spots will be strategically set up around the old campus. Guests will also have the opportunity to view an exhibition featuring historic photographs and artifacts from the Toyo Gakuen archives. Attendees can express their memories and messages on dedicated boards, which aim to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for sharing stories. Furthermore, many former faculty members are expected to attend, turning the event into a delightful reunion where friends and mentors can reconnect after years apart.

The second part of the celebration will commence at 2:00 PM and run until 5:00 PM at the Toyo Gakuen University Ground. This portion of the event is open to everyone in the community, with no prior registration required to enter. Family-friendly activities are planned in abundance, ensuring a fun-filled day for attendees of all ages. A variety of food trucks will offer delicious treats, including pasta, braised pork buns, chicken, fruit sandwiches, and desserts. In addition, local farmers will showcase and sell their fresh vegetables and produce.

For children, there will be an array of engaging sports activities in a dedicated ‘Easy Sports’ area, offering options such as darts, molkky, disc golf, pickleball, and stacking games designed for leisurely enjoyment. To commemorate this landmark occasion, an original acrylic keychain will be available through a gacha booth, where proceeds will support the event. Noteworthy is the ecological aspect, as these souvenirs will be made from upcycled acrylic panels previously used for COVID-19 droplet prevention.

As a grand finale, attendees will gather for a collective photo using drones, capturing the essence of this memorable day at 5:00 PM. This milestone event not only honors the past but also reinforces the bond of the Toyo Gakuen community as it steps into the next century.
