Exploring the Impact of Agentic Selling and DealFinder by OLX Group on Online Marketplaces

OLX Group Launches Innovative AI Tools for Online Marketplaces

On October 27, 2026, OLX Group, a global leader in online classified ads with nearly 60 million listings daily, introduced two cutting-edge AI tools designed to enhance user experience in the digital marketplace: Agentic Selling and DealFinder. This launch occurred during the CLAIM Online 2026 event, which focused on the future of digital marketplaces.

The Demand for Trustworthy AI

Recent studies conducted by OLX reveal a significant demand among users for AI solutions that inspire trust. Despite the widespread use of AI, many consumers find themselves grappling with concerns regarding transparency and the role of AI in decision-making processes. These new tools emerge as a response to that very need, emphasizing complexity reduction while empowering users to make final decisions.

OLX has been integrating AI into its platforms for over eight years, successfully incorporating machine learning into various applications. Currently, OLX operates 86 machine learning use cases, with 28 generative AI systems and 14 agent-based solutions actively on the market. These tools leverage over two decades of established relationships with dealers and real estate agents, along with access to verified market data, an advantage not available to generic AI models.

Innovations in Selling and Buying with Agentic Selling and DealFinder

Agentic Selling, which is currently available for 20% of private sellers on Otodom in Poland, simplifies the property listing and selling process. It guides sellers through a well-defined framework that ranges from property valuation to ad publication, ensuring an organized approach to real estate transactions.

On the other hand, DealFinder serves as an assistant for buyers, currently expanding after a successful beta trial in Portugal with 2,000 users. This tool operates through WhatsApp, allowing buyers to locate items, set price or product alerts, and conduct searches via text, image, or voice. The beta phase showcased a commendable 18% contact conversion rate, highlighting its effectiveness in facilitating buyer engagement.

Andreas Merentitis, OLX’s Chief Data Officer, asserts that these tools encapsulate a core principle: AI should handle complexity while individuals retain control over significant decisions. OLX places paramount importance on user questions and evaluates the effectiveness of these tools based on user trust in the results provided.

Evolving User Perspectives on AI

The recent surveys conducted by OLX around two pivotal life decisions—job searching and finding a home—shed light on user perceptions towards AI.

Among respondents aged 18-29 across Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Germany, and France, a stunning 92-96% use AI tools in their personal lives. However, fewer than 41% feel adequately prepared for changes in the job market due to AI advances. Interestingly, while men rate their AI competencies higher than women, both sexes share similar concerns (31%) regarding AI's potential impact on their careers.

Poland emerges as the most cautious market, with 37% of youth expressing high or very high concern about AI and automation. In response, OLX's development tools, including CV Optimiser and AI Interviewer, aim to bridge this gap by assisting young individuals in refining their resumes and providing mock interviews, respectively.

User Preferences in AI Application

From the thousands navigating housing searches through OLX platforms, the most requested AI-driven features include alerts for matching listings and side-by-side option comparison tools. Notably, only 5% of users would trust an AI-generated valuation over that of a human agent, with 36% still favoring human estimations.

A striking 78% of users wish to know if ads have been modified with AI assistance. OLX acknowledges this inclination for human involvement, leading to the design of tools such as Agentic Selling, which provides data-driven pricing guidance while leaving final decisions in the seller's hands.

CEO Christian Gisy emphasizes, “While users are already leveraging AI for crucial decisions on our platforms, it's natural they question the real utility of these tools. The mere adoption of AI doesn't equate to trust in the outcomes achieved. Our surveys underline that users crave clarity on why an AI tool makes certain recommendations, all while keeping the authority to decide in their own hands. This ethos drives our ambitions across all platforms.”

Transformative Results Across the Group

OLX Group's AI innovations are already producing tangible benefits, significantly enhancing performance across products. AI-generated titles and descriptions boost the ad completion rate by 11 percentage points for sellers, and AI-assisted posting in real estate reduces submission times by 50%. Over 70% of car dealers now accept AI-generated videos of their vehicles. Agent-based search features are currently active in the vehicle and real estate sections, and the AutoIQ agent is accessible to all dealers on platforms in Poland and Portugal.

Conclusion

As OLX Group continues to lead the way in integrating innovative AI solutions, the company remains committed to ensuring that users feel empowered and informed throughout their buying and selling journeys. With tools like Agentic Selling and DealFinder, OLX not only champions efficiency but also prioritizes the essential element of trust in the digital marketplace.
