Getty Images Set to Capture the Essence of Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics



As the world prepares for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Getty Images has announced its commitment to deliver exceptional visual content that highlights the spirit of the Games. From the opening ceremony on February 6 to the closing ceremony on February 22, Getty Images plans to deploy a dedicated team of 84 photographers and editors who will leverage proprietary technologies to shoot more than 6 million images throughout the events. Acting as the official photo agency for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Getty will document all ceremonies and competitions, making captivating content available to media, sponsors, and licensees during the duration of the Games.

To ensure full coverage across all 16 competition venues in the Milano Cortina region, Getty will assign 39 editorial photographers, with an additional 20 editors based in the London Getty Images office and remote locations managing real-time editing. Through a unique network and software, images captured during the events will be transmitted to gettyimages.com within 30 seconds, allowing clients worldwide to share instant and authentic visual stories of the ceremonies and competitions.
