Surprise Guest Shohin from Shimofuri Myojyo Inspires New Students at Vantan Ceremony

Vantan Entrance Ceremony 2026: An Unforgettable Day

On April 7, 2026, Vantan School gathered around 2,000 new students and their families for the much-anticipated entrance ceremony held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. With a vision of becoming "the school closest to society in the world," Vantan actively promotes hands-on education with current professionals in creative industries.

This year's event was made memorable by the appearance of a special surprise guest, Shohin, one half of the popular comedy duo Shimofuri Myojyo. Known not only for his comedic talent but also for his musical endeavors, Shohin entered the stage to an eruption of cheers, inspiring the aspiring creators present.

A Motivational Message from Shohin

As the ceremony progressed towards its conclusion, Shohin's surprise speech captivated the audience. He emphasized the significance of depth in pursuing one's passions. He encouraged the new students to remain steadfast in their dedication, even in the face of the creative industry's inevitable challenges. He stated, "The creative industry might sometimes subject you to unreasonable evaluations. However, no matter the environment you find yourself in, facing your passions sincerely and deeply will become a substantial asset in the long run."

Shohin pointed out that getting swept away by short-term evaluations or trends was not the way forward: "The act of honing your craft itself will serve as the most valuable nourishment for your future." His heartfelt words resonated deeply with the students eager to embark on their creative journeys.

Embracing Setbacks as Signs of Commitment

During his speech, Shohin shared his thoughts on resilience when faced with setbacks. He explained, "The ability to encounter failures is a testament to how seriously you approach your pursuits. There will be moments where you may feel lost or disheartened, but remember the pure love you hold for what you do. The force to overcome obstacles springs from your overwhelming passion."

His candid reflections, drawn from his own experience of crossing genre boundaries in comedy and music, held the captivated attention of the students, urging them to confront challenges with perseverance.

Carrying Hope into the Future

As he closed his speech, Shohin acknowledged that as time passed, students might lose that initial surge of enthusiasm. Still, he assured them, "There will come a day when the pure thoughts of hope and expectation you feel today will undoubtedly rescue you. Cherish the energy and dedication you have now and trust in your potential. Push forward!"

His encouraging words offered a powerful reminder for the new students as they take their first steps in the creative industry, instilling hope for their bright futures.
