Trust in AI: A Growing Concern

As generative AI swiftly infiltrates our workplaces, the accuracy of information it provides poses a serious challenge. A recent survey conducted by AI Skills Academy, which has trained over 50,000 participants in AI, aimed to uncover the truth about the reliability of AI-generated information. This study surveyed 203 business professionals who actively utilize generative AI in their work.

The results revealed that only 55.7% of AI users explicitly acknowledged having encountered false information generated by AI. A staggering 44.3% either denied such experiences or were unaware, leaving them vulnerable to absorbing incorrect information without realizing the risks involved.

Interestingly, over 70% of those who experienced AI's inaccuracies reported that they faced additional time challenges in verifying the information. This underscores the importance of developing critical skills to discern fact from fiction in the realm of generative AI.
