Nikon's 2026 Tour: Bringing Creative Opportunities to Photographers and Filmmakers
Nikon has just unveiled exciting plans for the second half of its 2026 Nikon Tour, a highly anticipated initiative that champions hands-on creativity in photography and filmmaking. This fall, the tour will extend its reach to five additional cities across the United States, starting on September 25th in Dallas, Texas, and followed by stops in Nashville, Baltimore/Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Boston.
The first phase of the 2026 Nikon Tour saw a successful turnout, with over 1,300 attendees participating in various events and workshops intended for both novice and experienced creators. Highlighting this vibrant community is the opportunity for participants to connect and learn from Nikon Ambassadors and fellow creators. These events facilitate educational sessions focused on Nikon's latest technology, including their line of Z series cameras and NIKKOR lenses.
One of the standout features of this year's tour is that it remains entirely free for all attendees. Nikon has committed itself to fostering accessible creative experiences, focusing on hands-on workshops, photography sessions, and opportunities to test out the latest equipment. Tailored days such as 'Intro to Photography,' 'NIKKOR Z Lens Day,' and 'ZR Day' cater to different skill levels, ensuring that everyone—from beginners to seasoned professionals—can gain valuable insights and experiences.
At 'NIKKOR Z Lens Day,' attendees can engage with Nikon's impressive lineup of lenses. Past events have allowed individuals to experiment with four to five different lenses in one day, enhancing their practical understanding of equipment. Meanwhile, 'ZR Day' offers filmmakers a platform to utilize the ZR's video capabilities through real-world applications, pushing their creative limits and fostering skill development.
Kristen Pritchett, Nikon Inc.'s Marketing Events Experiential Manager, expressed excitement about the tour, noting that the initial phase successfully brought communities together and helped creators engage meaningfully with the acclaimed Nikon gear. This fall’s tour aims to build on that momentum, contributing to the growth of creative relationships and skills among photographers and filmmakers alike.
As part of the anticipated enhancements to the tour experience, Nikon is collaborating with Sandisk to provide CFexpress™ memory cards during ZR days. Attendees will have the chance to create content using both Nikon cameras and Sandisk cards, allowing for cloud storage access of their captured work. Additionally, select events will feature Sandisk giveaways, making this opportunity even more appealing.
The Dallas event will be hosted from September 25 to 27 at the scenic Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, led by accomplished Nikon Creator Danny Batista. Attendees will find a central hub in visually striking yellow SUVs branded by Nikon, designated for creative activities and gear demonstrations. New instructors are set to join this phase, including renowned Nikon Ambassadors Brandon Woelfel and Mike Mezeul, as well as Nikon Creator Rick Southers.
