The WATCH.SWISS exhibition has officially arrived at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, an exciting part of the 29th Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair. This engaging exhibition aims to share the allure of Swiss watchmaking with audiences of all ages, showcasing the rich history and craftsmanship behind these famed timepieces.

Since 2016, the Swiss Watch Federation (FH) has been presenting this interactive program worldwide. At WATCH.SWISS, visitors can delve into seven captivating themes: Switzerland, Swiss Made, Design, History, Precision, Manufacturing, and Complicated Watches. This unique opportunity allows participants to learn while having fun, emphasizing the artistic and technical intricacies developed over 400 years in the Swiss watch industry.

Upon entering the venue, attendees are greeted with themed totems featuring built-in iPads and digital workbenches. These interactive displays enable guests to digitally assemble the movements of mechanical watches, providing an intimate experience of the precision and craftsmanship emblematic of Swiss watchmaking.

In collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Japan and the Switzerland Tourism Board, a special salon space will immerse guests in Swiss culture and lifestyle. The exhibition includes a recreated traditional chalet, a library stocked with watch-related literature, and exhibits designed to resemble a watchmaker's workshop. Visitors can also enjoy a unique coloring experience using materials from Caran d'Ache.

Throughout the weekends during the event, attendees can experience live performances of the Alphorn, a talk show featuring Paolo Lunardi, the Japan branch director of the Swiss Tourism Board, and Ayako Nakano, the director of the FH Tokyo Center. Furthermore, renowned pen artist Tanochi will engage in live painting sessions. The weekends will also offer delightful tastings of Nespresso coffee and Swiss wine, allowing guests to indulge in the multisensory charm of Switzerland.

WATCH.SWISS transcends merely showcasing Swiss watches; it encapsulates the traditions, aesthetics, and hospitality that Switzerland has nurtured over centuries.
