North Texas Hosts Second Annual Global Startup Challenge at SCEWC 2025
The North Texas Innovation Alliance (NTXIA) is thrilled to announce the return of the Smart Cities Global Startup Challenge, scheduled for the second consecutive year at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) in Barcelona, starting on November 5, 2025. Participants will compete for the chance to win piloting opportunities and funding in the U.S. Similar to the previous year's event, five finalists will be selected to present their projects during the SCEWC. The submission window for this challenge opened on August 19 and will close on September 10, 2025.

Smart Infrastructure - Proposals that emphasize predictive analytics for maintenance, technologies that promote resource conservation, and sustainable building practices.
Qualified startups are encouraged to present ready-to-test technologies suitable for real-world smart city environments, exemplifying the robust potential of the tech industry within North Texas.
