Celebrating Tanabata at the Original Kyushu Chikuhou Ramen Store

On June 19, a delightful Tanabata event will take place at the original Kyushu Chikuhou Ramen store, engaging the local community and especially the preschoolers from Warakko Nursery. This event is part of YS Food's broader initiative to foster local connections and celebrate traditional festivities.

Event Overview

The Tanabata festival is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, celebrating the meeting of deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, represented by the stars Vega and Altair. This year's event will feature 31 eager preschoolers from Warakko Nursery, many of whom have been part of the community for years. Located at the newly re-established facility of the former Magarikan Nursery, the event embodies the spirit of community engagement and childhood growth.

The event will kick off promptly at 10:00 AM, but as with any live event, timing may slightly vary based on the progress of activities. Children will gather under the eaves of the ramen shop to decorate long strips of string with colorful Tanabata wishes and ornaments.

Creating Magical Moments

Once the kids have added their delightful decorations, these strings will be suspended from part of the store's ceiling to mimic the flowing Milky Way. This enchanting creation will be on display until around July 7, allowing the magic of the children's wishes to linger for a while longer.

The celebration has been an annual highlight since 2019, although the event was paused in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, with the world slowly returning to normal, this will mark the seventh consecutive year of this beloved tradition.
