Shenzhen Luohu and Frankfurt Forge Cultural and Tourism Partnership

Cultural and Tourism Partnership Between Shenzhen Luohu and Frankfurt

On September 19, 2025, an important collaboration was established between the dynamic Luohu District of Shenzhen, adjacent to Hong Kong, and prominent institutions in Frankfurt, Germany. This partnership aims to strengthen cultural and tourism connections while fostering cooperation in various sectors, particularly in cultural tourism, artificial intelligence, and digital creativity.

The formal agreements were reached during the Cultural and Tourism Exchange Symposium held in Frankfurt, where representatives from both regions gathered to discuss their common interests. Notably, an agreement was signed between the Luohu District’s Office for Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports and the Sino-German Technology and Science Association, marking a significant milestone in their relationship.

During the symposium, over 50 German companies and institutions from diverse sectors participated, including cultural tourism, life sciences, media, and artificial intelligence. A speaker from the Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt emphasized the symposium's significance in enhancing industrial and economic ties between China and Germany. This initiative seeks to deepen economic relationships and foster mutual understanding between the two nations.

One representative from the Luohu trade delegation highlighted the advantages and developmental opportunities within the Luohu region. With a strong commitment to expanding collaborations across various domains—such as performing arts, creative fashion, cross-border tourism, green development, and life sciences—Luohu is eager to engage with German partners.

Throughout the symposium, German institutions, including the European Molecular Biology Organization and the Hessian State Ballet, shared insights about industry developments and expressed their hopes for future collaborative projects with Luohu. The discussions emphasized the potential for creating innovative cooperation models that cater to mutual business growth and cultural exchange.

In addition to the seminar discussions, the Luohu trade delegation visited several German companies such as Meissner Digital Interior Design, Baum Garten Advertising, Schmidt Advertising, and the European Molecular Biology Organization. These visits aimed to encourage German businesses to invest in Shenzhen while also supporting Shenzhen-based brands in their global ventures. By exploring investment opportunities in Shenzhen and expanding into the Chinese market, both parties anticipate substantial mutual benefits.

In conclusion, the partnership between Shenzhen Luohu and Frankfurt is set to pave the way for not only enhanced tourism and cultural exchanges but also innovative collaborations that promote sustainable growth in both regions. This landmark agreement stands as a testament to the potential within these emerging markets and sets the stage for a fruitful future of cooperation between China and Germany.
