Overview
The 6th Takamatsu International Piano Competition was held in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, from February 10 to February 23, 2023. This prestigious event has been a platform for fostering young talent since its inception in 2006. In this recent competition, Roman Fediurko from Ukraine took the gold medal, while South Korea's Jeonghwan Kim secured the silver. Both award-winning pianists performed on the renowned Shigeru Kawai full concert piano, the SK-EX.

Throughout the duration of the competition, 45 contestants participated, showcasing their exceptional skills across various rounds. Only five advanced to the finals after succeeding in the preliminary and semi-final stages.
