Your Chance to Become a Childcare Worker in Neyagawa City
Have you ever thought about becoming a childcare worker but felt discouraged by the time and money required for training? If so, Neyagawa City has a fantastic opportunity for you! We've partnered with the Neyagawa Private Nursery Schools Association to introduce a new initiative, the "Neyagawa Childcare Worker Challenge Support Project." This project allows you to work as a childcare assistant while pursuing your childcare certification, all without the need for prior experience or qualifications. If you have a passion for working with children and a desire to contribute to your community, this program is the perfect fit for you.
Three Reasons to Join the Challenge
The daycare centers in Neyagawa are eager to support your journey into becoming a professional childcare worker. Here are three compelling reasons to get involved:
1. Full Tuition Coverage
The biggest concern for many is often the cost of classes. However, under this initiative, the tuition is entirely covered by the participating childcare facilities, allowing you to learn from expert instructors without any financial burden.
2. Earnings During Study Hours
Unlike traditional training programs, this initiative recognizes study time for classes and exam preparation as part of your working hours. This means you can focus on achieving your certification while still earning an income, providing you with greater peace of mind.
3. Welcoming Everyone, Including Beginners
Even if you have no experience in childcare or come from a completely different industry, you are still welcome to apply. You will start with assistant tasks, allowing you to gradually build your skills and confidence in a nurturing environment alongside children.

Understanding the Childcare Worker Examination
In Japan, the childcare worker examination is conducted twice a year as a national qualification test. The exam consists of written tests (9 subjects) and practical tests (2 fields). Candidates can qualify to take the exam if they meet specific criteria, such as graduating from a university, junior college, or vocational school or having high school graduation along with specified practical experience.
In Osaka, a regionally restricted examination is offered as an alternative to practical tests, where attending courses can satisfy the requirements.
Eligibility for the Examination
- - Graduates from universities, junior colleges, or vocational schools (any field of study is acceptable)
- - For high school graduates: at least 2 years (and over 2,880 hours) of practical experience in child welfare facilities. (It's important to note that this new initiative allows you to gain this practical experience while working toward your certification!)
The Neyagawa Childcare Worker Challenge Support Project is hosted by
Coco Carry Academy (Career Field Co., Ltd.) in cooperation with the Neyagawa Private Nursery Schools Association and supported by the Neyagawa City. This initiative is part of a larger scheme established under a memorandum of understanding signed on May 15th.
