Aomori's Happiness and Living Longevity Rankings for 2025

Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has conducted a comprehensive survey to assess the living satisfaction in various municipalities. The results were compiled into the "Ai Room Net Happiness Ranking 2025: Aomori Edition" and the "Ai Room Net Living Longevity Ranking 2025: Aomori Edition."

Aomori Happiness Ranking Highlights

For two consecutive years, Rokunohe Town in Kamikita District secured the top spot in the happiness rankings. The second place was taken by Nanbu Town in San'nohe District, which climbed from fourth place last year, while Fujisaki Town in Minamisaku District came in third.

1. 1st Place: Rokunohe Town, Kamikita District - Two years running.
2. 2nd Place: Nanbu Town, San'nohe District - Rising from 4th place last year.
3. 3rd Place: Fujisaki Town, Minamisaku District.
4. 4th Place: Oirase Town, Kamikita District - The top four are all towns located in rural areas.
5. 8th Place: Hirakawa City - Jumped from last year's 14th position.
6. 9th Place: Tsugaru City - Moved up from 12th.

The happiness index was calculated based on cumulative responses over five years (2021-2025). If a municipality didn't meet the response threshold of 50 participants, previous year data was also included to ensure sufficient reliability of results.

The rankings indicate a shift, as Rokunohe Town remains a favorite, continuing to foster a sense of well-being among its residents. The annual evaluation involves assessing happiness levels through a ten-point scale, effectively translating individual feelings of happiness into composite scores indicative of municipal performance.

Living Longevity Ranking Insights

In a noteworthy turn, the top position in the living longevity category went to Inakadate Village in Minamisaku District, marking its first appearance in the rankings. Previously, it had no data due to a lower number of respondents (less than 50).

1. 1st Place: Inakadate Village, Minamisaku District - First-time ranked.
2. 2nd Place: Nanbu Town, San'nohe District - Consistent for two consecutive years.
3. 3rd Place: Hirosaki City - Renowned for its livability and quality of life.
4. 10th Place: Towada City - Entered the rankings after being unranked due to insufficient data previously.

The living longevity rankings stem from evaluations based on a five-tier scale, measuring residents' desire to remain in their current municipalities. This is a critical reflection of community sentiment and individual perspectives on the local environment.
