The theme of the seminar is "Creating the Power to Live". In its ninth edition, we are honored to welcome Takeshi Okada, the former head coach of Japan's national football team and current chairman of Imabari Dream Sports. He will share insights on how to build support systems for dreams within familiar spaces like homes and workplaces.

With his vast experience leading teams on the world stage, Okada's lecture promises to provide crucial perspectives on nurturing children's dreams through education while cultivating hope within the community.

Lecture Highlights

Okada will address the vital question of what environments and triggers are needed for both children and adults to conceptualize and act on their dreams. Transitioning from his experience coaching Japan’s national team, he emphasizes the importance of "teamwork in discussing and supporting dreams". Drawing from his extensive background in education, community development, and sports coaching, Okada will deliver a stirring message that is highly relevant for everyday life.

About the Speaker: Takeshi Okada

Born in 1956, Takeshi Okada graduated from Waseda University. Following a successful career as a player and coach, he became the head coach of the Japanese national team in 1997, leading them to their first-ever World Cup participation. He has since held various leadership positions, including coaching in the J-League and serving as the owner of FC Imabari. His commitment to "育成改革 (development reform)" and "地方創生 (regional revitalization)" shines through his ongoing projects in the field of sports.
