YeePay Secures EMI License from De Nederlandsche Bank to Expand European Payment Network

YeePay Obtains EMI License from De Nederlandsche Bank

In a significant development for the digital payment sector, YeePay has officially received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the central bank of the Netherlands. This achievement marks a pivotal moment in the company's European expansion strategy, as it seeks to solidify its presence within one of the most crucial financial hubs in the EU.

The EMI license positions YeePay advantageously to provide localized payment services that adhere to regulatory guidelines, specifically targeting companies engaging in international markets. According to Terry, the Senior Vice President at YeePay, this license is not just a regulatory achievement but a cornerstone in the company's aim to enhance its operational capabilities across Europe.

"Achieving an EMI license from De Nederlandsche Bank represents a key milestone in YeePay’s European strategy. With the Netherlands serving as a fundamental strategic hub—and alongside our existing EMI license in the UK—we will continue to bolster our local presence and regulatory service capabilities in Europe, all while adhering to applicable regulations. By combining local regulatory capabilities and financial infrastructures with YeePay's global payment network, we aim to enhance our global collection and payment capabilities, as well as our local account management and multi-currency foreign exchange (FX) operations," he stated.

A Broader Strategic Vision

YeePay has been actively expanding its portfolio of financial services licenses across significant international markets. Notable among these are a Money Service Operator (MSO) license in Hong Kong, a Money Services Business (MSB) registration in the United States, and a money transmitter registration in Mexico. Additionally, the company has obtained regulatory licenses from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for activities across multiple categories, as well as EMI licenses in both the UK and the Netherlands.

With its extensive global commercial network and financial technology capabilities, YeePay’s services extend to over 200 countries and regions. The company's real-time FX capabilities cover more than 100 currencies, allowing it to provide businesses with tailored payment solutions that support increasingly complex cross-border operations.

Future Initiatives

Looking ahead, YeePay plans to deepen its partnerships with financial institutions worldwide and continue to enhance its comprehensive cross-border payment offerings. This includes global collection services, payment solutions, foreign exchange services, and global account management, all developed in accordance with pertinent regulatory frameworks.

By investing in financial technology and regulated infrastructures, YeePay's goal is to simplify cross-border payments. This will make it easier and more efficient for businesses aiming to expand internationally.

This new EMI license not only reflects YeePay's commitment to regulatory compliance but also marks a strategic advancement in its effort to facilitate international trade. With these capabilities, YeePay aims to optimize transaction costs, enhance international fund flows, and assist businesses in their aspirations to penetrate European and other international markets.
