Beijing Financial Forum 2026: Setting New Standards for Global Finance Cooperation
The Financial Street Forum 2026: A New Era for Global Finance
From October 19 to 22, 2026, Beijing will host the Annual Conference of the Financial Street Forum—a pivotal event for the international finance community. This year's forum is expected to unveil over 100 critical outcomes addressing standards, platforms, and the necessity for open cooperation in the finance sector.
Acting head of the Xicheng District in Beijing, Zeng Linfeng, shared key insights during a recent news briefing, indicating that Chinese financial authorities plan to introduce a series of progressive policies aimed at furthering financial reform and development throughout the country. These initiatives signal a renewed commitment to enhancing the financial infrastructure necessary for sustained economic growth.
This year's forum will showcase the addition of new thematic meetings focused on insurance and investment. By placing a spotlight on these sectors, the forum seeks to bolster the financial sector’s role in supporting the real economy—connecting finance directly with industry and public welfare.
For the first time in its history, the Financial Street Forum will also operate as a hybrid event, featuring live connectivity across three sites in Beijing, Hong Kong, and London, in addition to a special event at an African sub-venue. This innovative approach reflects the forum's global reach and commitment to fostering international dialogue in the finance industry.
The conference will comprise a main forum, several parallel discussions, and thematic meetings concentrated on fintech, insurance, and investment. Various supportive activities are also planned, aiming to create an interactive platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Under the theme, "Building an Open, Collaborative, and Inclusive Ecosystem for Global Financial Development," the forum promises to attract over 400 prominent participants from more than 40 countries and regions. This vast representation underscores the importance of collective effort in navigating the future of global finance.
Established in 2012, the Financial Street Forum is recognized as a compass for financial reform and development in China. This year's gathering is co-hosted by several esteemed entities, including the Beijing Municipal Government, the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Xinhua News Agency, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
As the world moves toward an increasingly interconnected economic environment, events like the Financial Street Forum serve as vital platforms for discussion, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices. The outcomes from this year’s conference are anticipated to set new benchmarks and inspire considerable developments in the international finance landscape for years to come.
