Venus Medtech Hosts Its Inaugural Global Partner Summit in Paris to Discuss Growth Strategy

Venus Medtech's Inaugural Global Partner Summit in Paris

Venus Medtech recently marked a significant milestone in its journey by hosting its first-ever Global Partner Summit in Paris, under the theme "Insights, Innovation, Impact". The event aimed to bring together sales and business partners to explore the company's international growth strategy, discuss advancements in structural heart disease treatment, and outline marketing priorities for the future.

This summit served not only as a platform for networking but also as a critical forum for discussing the strategies that will enhance Venus Medtech's presence in global markets. David Bréant, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Venus Medtech, opened the summit by detailing the evolution of the company from an emerging innovator to a growing player in the structural heart disease market. He emphasized the significance of clinical collaboration, product quality, and the successful implementation of long-term strategies.

The CEO of Venus Medtech, Hou-Sen Lim, elaborated on the company's strategic roadmap, highlighting the progress of their transcatheter heart valve portfolio and upcoming regulatory and commercial milestones. Lim noted that the company is transitioning from a product-centric organization to a multi-platform provider in the field of structural heart diseases, which will encompass various heart valve therapies.

A key session was led by Professor Francesco Maisano, Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Director of the Valve Clinic at the IRCCS San Raffaele University Hospital. The focus was on the development of the Cardiovalve system and the increasing demand for transcatheter treatment options for mitral regurgitation (MR) and tricuspid regurgitation (TR).

The session highlighted several design features of the Cardiovalve system, including a single-step transfemoral access, a unified platform for mitral and tricuspid procedures, a low-profile design that aims to lower the risk of left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction, and an adaptive sealing mechanism designed to minimize paravalvular leaks (PVL). It was reported that the currently available device sizes would accommodate about 85% of the target patient population.

Importantly, the session underscored the growing clinical and commercial interest in therapies targeting the tricuspid valve, which has been historically referred to as the “forgotten valve” due to limited treatment options available in the past.

“International expansion remains a core strategic priority for Venus Medtech,” stated Lim. He added, “Following the international commercialization of Venus P-Valve, we are advancing the clinical, regulatory, and commercial pathways for Venus-PowerX, Venus-Vitae, and Cardiovalve. We continue to focus on building a long-term clinical evidence base and strengthening our position in the global structural heart disease market through a wider and increasingly diversified product portfolio.”

In addition to product innovation, Lim emphasized that the company continues to invest in local distribution structures, service infrastructures, and market-specific expertise to support growth in key international markets.
