MRO Enhances Clinical Data Management Platform Through Vyne Medical Acquisition
MRO Expands Clinical Data Management with Vyne Medical Acquisition
In a strategic move to enhance its offerings, MRO, a prominent player in the clinical data management sphere, has announced its acquisition of Vyne Medical. This development is set to significantly bolster MRO's platform aimed at helping healthcare providers manage clinical data effectively.
Vyne Medical, known for its innovative solutions in data intake and intelligent document processing, serves over 800 hospitals across the country. The company specializes in transforming various types of unstructured information—from paper and voice to fax and images—into structured digital data that supports clinical and financial workflows. This transformation is crucial as much valuable data in healthcare remains trapped in formats that are difficult to access and utilize.
Enhancing the Clinical Data Lifecycle
The merger allows MRO to expand its Enterprise Clinical Data Management platform throughout the clinical data lifecycle effectively. By integrating Vyne Medical’s technologies, MRO aims to leverage intelligent automation alongside human expertise. This combined approach allows for more efficient management of high-volume clinical information, streamlining workflows, and significantly reducing the manual efforts often required.
Automation processes take on the task of classifying, extracting, and routing information on a substantial scale. Meanwhile, teams with specialized experience are engaged where their judgment is critical, enhancing accuracy and speeding up turnaround times without adding pressure on healthcare staff.
Jason Brown, CEO of MRO, emphasized the need for such advancements by stating, “Many health systems have invaluable data stranded in faxes and phone calls that are often laboriously re-entered to inform other workflows. With Vyne Medical's capabilities, we can capture that data right when it enters the system, convert it into structured clinical data, and make it accessible across the organization.”
Serving a Larger Community
This acquisition is set to strengthen MRO’s service reach, now impacting over 2,500 hospitals and 35,000 clinics. It aims at closing the information gaps often found between disconnected data sources, allowing for a more comprehensive and actionable overview for each patient.
Caleb Manscill, President of Vyne Medical, noted that for over 25 years, the company has strived to connect disparate data across various formats. By joining forces with MRO, Vyne Medical will continue its mission of delivering complete patient records for existing clients and those in the future.
During this transition period, Vyne Medical will continue operating under the name
