ACES Partners with BMRCL for Telecom Infrastructure
In a significant move toward modernizing urban transport,
ACES India Private Limited, an affiliate of Saudi Arabia’s
Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES), has signed a vital agreement with the
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). This partnership aims to install advanced, 4G/5G-ready telecom infrastructure across the Namma Metro network, a project projected to enhance connectivity for over
300 million annual passengers.
The formalization of this landmark agreement occurred on July 17, 2025, with key representatives from both organizations present, including Shri A.S. Shankar from BMRCL and Mohammed N. Mazher from ACES India. The structure of this collaboration follows a competitive bidding process and includes a long-term plan aimed at fostering high-speed mobile coverage throughout
62 metro stations in the network's
Phase 1 and
Phase 2.
Enhancing Commuter Experience
The deployment of a shared telecom infrastructure will grant mobile network access to multiple telecom operators through a single, efficient system. This innovative approach reduces infrastructure duplication and associated costs effectively while ensuring superior network quality and speedy roll-out.
Maheshwar Rao M, Managing Director of BMRCL, expressed excitement about the agreement, emphasizing, “This partnership is another step toward delivering future-ready mobility solutions while ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency.” The implications for commuters are significant, with the promise of uninterrupted connectivity that will accompany them throughout their metro journeys.
Commitment to Digital Transformation
Dr. Akram Aburas, the Group CEO of ACES, reiterated the strategic importance of this collaboration, stating, “India is a vital part of our global growth strategy. This partnership with BMRCL reinforces our commitment to supporting digital transformation in Indian cities through robust telecom infrastructure.”
Additionally,
Mohammed N. Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India, hailed the agreement as a pivotal milestone in their journey within India’s infrastructure landscape. He expressed pride in contributing to the public infrastructure of Bangalore by establishing a scalable and future-ready connectivity framework for Namma Metro.
Broader Implications for India
The 13-year agreement, which may extend up to an additional two years, underscores India's larger initiative toward becoming a more connected nation through its
Digital India campaign, facilitating smart mobility solutions in urban public transport.
Expanding ACES's Portfolio
ACES continues to reach further within India's urban mobility sector, having secured various telecom infrastructure projects in key locations such as
Bangalore International Airport,
Mumbai Metro Line 3,
Noida International Airport, and several other metro projects in Kanpur and Agra. Such efforts align ACES with India’s ambitions for enhanced public transportation and digital readiness.
