Clearnetworx Expands Fiber Infrastructure in Four Corners Region
Clearnetworx, the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) arm of Vero Fiber, has announced a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. On July 25, 2025, the company finalized its acquisition of Ting's fiber infrastructure covering crucial areas in Montezuma and La Plata Counties in Colorado, as well as San Juan County in New Mexico. This strategic move not only amplifies Clearnetworx’s reach across the Four Corners region but also solidifies its position as a leading player in the fiber internet market in Western Colorado and beyond.
The acquisition brings Clearnetworx closer to achieving its mission: delivering high-quality fiber internet services to underserved communities. With the new assets in place, the company is set to enhance deployment efficiencies and minimize any redundancies in construction. According to Doug Seacat, President of Clearnetworx, this acquisition significantly shortens their deployment timeline, allowing for quicker access to services for more customers.
"The acquisition allows us to streamline construction, minimize disruption for the community, and reach more customers faster," said Seacat. "Our goal has always been to bring big-city fiber to small towns, leveraging the financial backing of a well-funded company while maintaining a local, neighborly focus."
With over 12,000 active fiber customers across Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico, Clearnetworx has already established a strong presence in towns like Durango, Bayfield, and Cortez, CO, as well as Farmington, NM. The newly acquired infrastructure aligns perfectly with their ongoing state and federally funded network expansion projects in areas like Pagosa Lakes and along Highways 160 and 184. This move indicates Clearnetworx's commitment to improving internet access for everyone, particularly in less populated areas where options have traditionally been limited.
Casey Irving, VP of Business Development, shared further insights into the company's future plans. "We are not merely expanding; we are making significant long-term investments in this region. This area is pivotal for us, and we are dedicated to building, growing, and serving the community."
Clearnetworx prides itself on being a local fiber internet provider based in Montrose, Colorado. The company’s focus is on FTTH deployments specifically catering to underserved and rural environments. By combining scalable infrastructure with extensive local knowledge, Clearnetworx aims to deliver reliable and affordable gigabit-speed internet.
In conclusion, this acquisition marks a crucial step forward for Clearnetworx as it strengthens its infrastructure and broadens its services to more residents in the Four Corners region. With the ever-increasing demand for high-speed internet connectivity, Clearnetworx is poised to play a significant role in bridging the digital divide, bringing the benefits of fiber internet to even more rural communities across the southwestern United States.
