The event is set to be hosted in the Hachinohe Machinowa, a spacious, covered venue situated in the heart of Hachinohe City. This location is cherished by locals as a gathering place for relaxation, making it the ideal backdrop for blending the thrills of eSports with the rewarding experience of environmental stewardship through litter collection. LIDEAL Aomori has a mission of pioneering future-oriented community and societal development through the medium of soccer. Having previously organized successful eSports GOMI events in different cities, they are excited to bring this unique initiative to Hachinohe, the second-largest city in Aomori Prefecture.

What is eSports GOMI?

eSports GOMI merges competitive gaming with community service, focusing on environmental conservation. This special event invites participants to form teams of three. During a set timeframe, teams will gather litter from designated areas, competing not just for the amount collected, but also for the variety of types, earning points along the way. The event reflects an intriguing blend of teamwork, achievement, and thrill, encouraging involvement from all age groups. With eSports at its core, it promises a fun environment where participants can reflect on and contribute to the future of their community.

Event Schedule

Participants will compete in two rounds of litter collection, each lasting 30 minutes, with a gaming tournament in between that will feature Puyo Puyo eSports.

• - 12:30 PM – Registration begins
• - 1:00 PM – Opening Ceremony (participants are briefed on rules, strategies are discussed)
• - 1:25 PM – First round of litter collection begins
• - 1:55 PM – First round ends; weights are measured
• - 2:00 PM – Gaming tournament starts
• - 3:30 PM – Second round of litter collection begins
• - 4:00 PM – Second round ends; weights are measured
• - 4:15 PM – Closing ceremony
• - 4:45 PM – Event concludes

This event is rain or shine, with contingency plans in case of severe weather disruptions communicated by email to registered participants by 9 AM on the event day.
