The highly anticipated
Katsunori Aoki Exhibition is currently taking place at the
Nihon Designer Gakuin (NDS) in Shibuya, Tokyo. Running from
September 2nd to September 12th, 2025, this exhibition displays a rich collection of work by the acclaimed Creative Director and Graphic Designer
Katsunori Aoki.
Situated within the
Wall Gallery on the eighth floor of NDS, this exhibit is part of the school's commitment to host various showcases throughout the year for students and the general public alike. Aoki’s portfolio includes a diverse array of creative projects such as advertisements, graphic designs, logos, and animated characters, all on display for audiences to appreciate. The posters featured in the exhibition are original pieces from their initial releases, thus providing a unique opportunity to view these significant pieces of art up close.
In addition to the captivating visuals, the announcement poster for the exhibition includes an innovative element—a smartphone
AR (Augmented Reality) application. Visitors can interact with the poster, allowing it to come to life right on their screens, providing an engaging experience beyond the traditional exhibition format.
The
Wall Gallery serves as an educational space for students, yet it also opens its doors to the general public without any entry fees or reservations. Visitors can simply inform the reception staff on the first floor of the school of their intention to view the exhibition.
Those attending the exhibition can do so from
9:30 AM to 8:30 PM on weekdays, and until
5:00 PM on weekends, making it accessible for a variety of schedules. This is a wonderful chance for design enthusiasts, students, and the curious public to dive into the compelling work of Katsunori Aoki while supporting the vibrant design community fostered by NDS.
