SIMONA AMERICA Group Announces Expansion of Facility in Archbald, PA

SIMONA AMERICA Group, a prominent supplier of thermoplastic semi-finished components, has confirmed a significant facility expansion in Archbald, Pennsylvania, amounting to $23 million. This strategic investment underscores the company’s dedication to fostering innovation, bolstering the local economy, and improving its manufacturing strengths.

Expansion Details

The new development, which is slated for completion by the first quarter of 2026, will increase the existing facility size by more than 80,000 square feet. The extension will incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies, including state-of-the-art sheet extrusion, welding rod lines, and enhanced fabrication capacities. This upgrade aims to diversify the company’s product offerings and better accommodate a wide array of industries such as chemical processing, semiconductor manufacturing, outdoor living solutions, food and beverage production, as well as marine applications, playground installations, retail displays, signage, and medical prosthetics.

Strategically located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Archbald facility enjoys access to crucial rail services and is in close proximity to some of the nation’s most efficient interstate highways. This advantageous positioning will streamline distribution and logistics operations, enabling a more efficient service to customers.

The expansion also emphasizes our commitments to Lackawanna County and the larger Scranton-Archbald community. In line with this growth initiative, SIMONA AMERICA Group is launching a recruitment campaign to hire over 25 skilled professionals in manufacturing, shipping, and logistics, supporting local economic development and job creation efforts.
