Charity Auction 'Blooming towards the Sky'

Beginning today, the Pola Museum Annex in Ginza, Tokyo, is hosting its charity auction, "Blooming towards the Sky," from November 7 to November 30, 2025. On November 10, the auction and lottery sales for the exhibited works will commence at 11:00 AM.

Background of the Auction

This charity auction was initiated in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The goal was to consider what we could do for healthcare workers during such challenging times. Since then, each year has reflected societal challenges and emotions, influencing the choice of themes and beneficiaries. We at Pola Orbis Holdings have used "culture, art, and design" as key aspects of our sustainability efforts and have been active in addressing social issues. This year marks the 6th edition of the auction, and we have donated a total of ¥88,356,415 to various NGOs so far.

This Year's Theme and Beneficiary

In 2024, we chose the theme of "Hometown, Homeland, HOME" to support the regions affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Over a year has passed since the disaster, and many challenges remain for Noto's recovery, reinforcing the necessity for continued assistance. The theme "New Shoots, Sprouting" captures the resilience of Noto's communities, and the exhibition invites attendees to witness their journey toward rebuilding and looking to the future.
All proceeds from the auction and drawing sales will be fully donated to the Japan Red Cross via the "Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund."

Exhibition and Auction Details

The exhibition features 24 original works and 20 drawings created by 24 talented artists who support the initiative. Attendees can view the artworks at the venue, with original pieces available through a silent auction. Drawings will be sold via lottery at ¥180,000 (tax included) each, starting online on November 10.
The collection showcases a range of themes from personal expressions to symbols of hope for the future, embodying life force and resilience. Visitors will encounter diverse interpretations of "New Shoots, Sprouting," inspiring optimism for the future.

Silent auctions involve bids only, where the highest bidder among those participating wins the artwork without competitive bidding.
