Horiemon's New Charity Project: Bringing Hope through Blue Santa 2025

Exciting Charity Event: Everything Buy Team in Roppongi

In an exciting turn of events, a star-studded cast from the musical 'Blue Santa Claus 2025,' led by the renowned entrepreneur Takafumi Horie, also known as Horiemon, will take part in a charity initiative titled 'Everything Buy Team in Roppongi: Blue Santa and the Charity Feast.' This event, scheduled for November 16, 2025, at the Belsal Roppongi Grand Conference Center, is a collaborative project between Horiemon, the Japan Child Support Association (represented by Shinobu Iwaasa), and the buying company Makusasu (led by Sekiemon).

This charity event is a celebration of the opening of the 'Makusasu Horiemon Roppongi Store,' and it aims to promote a culture of giving by donating items that are no longer used. The message of the event encapsulates the idea: 'Transform your unused items into smiles for children!'

Understanding the Need for Donation

Japan's reuse market is worth approximately 3 trillion yen, yet it is estimated that households hold more than 66 trillion yen in 'sleeping assets' or unused items. Makusasu aims to circulate these hidden assets back into society, benefiting communities and underprivileged children alike.

To kick things off, the event has set an ambitious fundraising goal of 100 million yen, heralding a new wave of social contribution through reuse efforts across the nation.

The Backstory

This project emerged as Horiemon took on an advisory role in Makusasu, a company he partnered with through the franchise model. His connection with Makusasu deepened when Sekiemon appeared as a candidate on the popular YouTube economic entertainment show 'Real Value,' where Horie recognized Sekiemon’s dedication and the innovative potential of Makusasu's reuse business model. This led Horiemon to become the first franchisee, furthering their collaboration in ways that align with his views on social contributions through reuse.

Regular advisory meetings led to the development of the concept underlying the 'Everything Buy Team.' Horiemon has shared his insights on the social potential of the reuse market, emphasizing that it aligns with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative aims to create a bridge between reuse and social contributions, allowing for a collaborative effort to foster community support.

This unique opportunity will allow participants to discover the true value of their possessions and experience the joys of reuse.

Dual-Charity Model

The event operates on a dual-charity model:
1. Items provided by attendees and VIP guests will be appraised, with profits from sales or auctions partially directed towards charity.
2. The appraised value itself can be donated directly to charity.

All appraisals will be conducted free of charge, allowing participants to opt-out should they find the appraisal unsatisfactory.
This 'experience-based charity event' welcomes everyone to join in.

Entertainment Features

Throughout the venue, a live tally of total donations will be displayed, enhancing the communal spirit of charity. A grand auction will close the event, featuring both merchandise acquired on-site and items contributed for charity, inviting everyone to engage in the cause while feeling the impact of their contributions.
