Launch of the Metallo-Balance Test
In an exciting development for health screenings, K Medical Clinic in Setagaya, Tokyo, has announced the commencement of reservations for the innovative Metallo-Balance Test starting in October. Developed by Renatech, this screening test requires just a small 6mL blood sample to evaluate risks for cancer and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). As a part of the continuous effort to provide reliable health assessment services, this test opens new avenues for health management in the local community.
What is the Metallo-Balance Test?
The Metallo-Balance Test analyzes the concentration balance of 17 trace elements in the blood, allowing for an objective assessment of cancer and MCI risk. This risk screening test not only helps individuals gain insights into their health status but also serves as a preventive measure for potential diseases.
Test Features
- - Minimal Blood Sample: The test requires only a single blood draw of 6mL, performed under strict safety protocols within medical facilities. The procedure takes around 15 minutes, minimizing discomfort for participants.
- - Comprehensive Cancer Risk Evaluation: The test provides risk evaluations for multiple types of cancer, categorizing them based on gender. Men are screened for six types, including lung, stomach, and prostate cancers, while women are examined for nine types, including breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers.
- - Extensive MCI Risk Assessment: In addition to Alzheimer’s type, the test also includes other forms of cognitive impairment, ensuring a thorough evaluation.
Proven Research and Recognition
The Metallo-Balance Test boasts solid research foundations and validation both domestically and internationally. Supported by grants from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, it has been developed in collaboration with the Kanagawa Prefectural Cancer Center and the Chiba Cancer Center. The test has secured patents in nine countries worldwide and has seen over 100,000 participants since its launch in April 2019.
