Arizona Long Drive Launches New League at Dobson Ranch Golf Club
Arizona's golf enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice as a thrilling new long drive league, Arizona Long Drive, is set to debut at Dobson Ranch Golf Club on
April 12, 2025. This innovative event promises to be an exhilarating test of both strength and skill, designed for golfers at any level.
The league features two dynamic competition formats:
1.
Long Ball – In this format, the competition revolves around hitting the longest single drive.
2.
3Ball – This unique format allows participants to accumulate their best three drives out of five attempts to measure total yardage, a departure from traditional long drive competitions that prioritize sheer power. 3Ball caters to golfers who may not boast a 400-yard drive but still display finesse and accuracy on the tee.
This structure is not just about distance; it emphasizes consistency and precision. Participants can also aim to enter the
1000 Yard Club if they achieve a combined distance of over 1,000 yards across their drives, earning them elite recognition within the league.
Founder and President James Palmer expressed his excitement: “Arizona has a vibrant golf community, and we're excited to introduce a fresh take on long drive competitions. Regardless of your experience level, this league provides a platform for all to showcase their driving abilities.”
Inclusive Participation
To further encourage community engagement, the league has established divisions for juniors, adults, seniors, and adaptive players, ensuring that anyone passionate about golf can join the action. Spectators are invited free of charge, while competitors will be able to participate for a nominal fee of
$25 per set of five golf balls, with unlimited buy-back opportunities.
