Tony Sacre Appointed as New CEO of Allinial Global Enhancing Leadership and Innovation

Allinial Global Welcomes Tony Sacre as Its New CEO

Allinial Global has recently announced the appointment of Tony Sacre as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a comprehensive global search that attracted top talent from across the world. This significant decision marks a new chapter for the organization's leadership, as Sacre takes over from former CEO Mark Koziel, who has transitioned to the CEO role at AICPA & CIMA.

Tony Sacre is a well-respected figure in the financial world, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience with prestigious institutions such as ANZ Banking Group, Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, JP Morgan, and National Australia Bank. His expertise spans multiple areas including financial markets, trade financing, and strategic advisory services, particularly throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this new role, Sacre served as the CEO of Bentleys in Australia and New Zealand, a leading mid-tier accounting firm and a valued member of Allinial Global since 2018.

His vast experience in upper management roles across the Asia-Pacific market has deepened his understanding of Allinial Global’s mission and the evolving needs of independent firms worldwide. Notably, Sacre is the first CEO from the Asia-Pacific region in the history of Allinial Global, demonstrating the organization's commitment to global leadership that supports its member firms across different regions.

“I’m honored to take on this role and build upon Allinial Global's tremendous success,” remarked Tony Sacre. “The need for forward-thinking leadership and cross-border collaboration has never been more critical. I look forward to working with our incredible member firms to drive innovation, enhance global service capabilities, and position Allinial Global as the premier association for independent accounting and advisory firms around the world,” he added.

Jim Wallace, CEO of BPM LLP and Chair of the Global Executive Board, expressed confidence in Sacre's leadership. “With his extensive global experience, strategic mindset, and deep-rooted connection to the Allinial Global community, Tony Sacre is the ideal leader to guide our association into the future. His understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our member firms and his ability to foster international collaboration perfectly align with our mission to empower firms for sustainable success.”

The Global Executive Council of Allinial Global would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Steve Varley for his role as interim CEO, ensuring a smooth transitional phase during the leadership search process. As Allinial Global embarks on this new chapter, the organization remains dedicated to providing top-tier service, fostering global business opportunities, and ensuring its members stay at the forefront of an ever-evolving profession.
