Family Fun and Learning at Tokyo Game Show 2026

Sega is excited to announce its participation in the Tokyo Game Show 2026 Family Game Park, scheduled from September 19 to 21, 2026, at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall. This special area is designed for children under middle school age and their accompanying guardians, with free admission.

Event Highlights

The Tokyo Game Show 2026 will host three main areas within the Family Game Park: Asobiba!, Manabiba!, and Kids Stage! Each area is designed to provide engaging, educational, and challenging experiences for families. Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities that promote playing, learning, and taking on challenges together.

Asobiba! - Play and Challenge

Under this corner, daily score attack qualifying rounds for the Puyo Puyo eSports experience will take place. Participants can compete in the Sega Official Tournament Qualifiers, vying for a chance to reach the finals of the Puyo Puyo Global Ranking Series (PGRS) U-15 Special Tournament held on the Kids Stage.

• - Event Details: Each day, the top four participants from the score attack rankings will advance to the finals at 1:00 PM on the Kids Stage.
• - Ranking Registration Hours: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Rankings reset daily)
• - Eligibility: Open to elementary and middle school students (Younger children can try out the games but cannot enter the competition).
• - Prizes: All participants will receive a Puyo Puyo eSports sticker, and those who register for the tournament via the PGRS special site will get one random Puyo Puyo sparkling trading card (five types available).

Manabiba! - Learn and Experience

The Puyo Puyo Programming workshop will be led by professional gamers, teaching elementary and middle school students how games work through engaging materials. This exciting workshop is completely free!

• - Eligibility: Open to 4th grade to 9th grade students.
• - Registration: Tickets will be distributed on the day of the event at the venue (first come, first served).
• - Instructors: Pro gamers from PipoNia and Yoda Souma will guide the sessions.
• - Schedule: (1) 10:20 AM – 11:40 AM, (2) 12:00 PM – 1:20 PM, (3) 2:00 PM – 3:20 PM, (4) 3:30 PM – 4:50 PM. Note that the final day (21st) will not feature the last session.

Kids Stage! - The Stage for Challenges

The Kids Stage will showcase an electrifying final tournament featuring the top four players from Asobiba, competing fiercely for glory! Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet their favorite Puyo Puyo characters.

• - Event Name: Puyo Puyo PGRS U-15 Special Tournament in Family Game Park
• - Time: Each day from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• - Game Title and Rules: Players will compete using the Nintendo Switch™ version of Puyo Puyo eSports under the Puyo Puyo Tsu rules in a single-elimination format (first to win 5 games).
• - Awards: Finalists will receive a special “PGRS Puyo Puyo sparkling trading card (memorial rare with case),” while the winner will receive a set of five stunning PGRS cards (also in a case).
• - Featured Hosts: ALF will serve as the MC, with guest appearance by Yuuki, a professional player representing Japan at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi/Nagoya, only on the 19th.

Kids can also enjoy a visit from Puyo Puyo eSports-kun, where families can capture memorable photos together!

- September 19 & 20: Stage appearances from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM, and in the area from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM.
- September 21: Stage appearances from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM, and in the area from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM.
