HONOR Unveils Groundbreaking AI Technologies at MWC 2025

On March 4, 2025, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, global tech brand HONOR introduced an ambitious new strategy known as the HONOR ALPHA plan. This visionary initiative aims to transform HONOR from a smartphone manufacturer into a leading global AI device ecosystem company. By doing so, HONOR seeks to reshape the future by advocating for an open value-sharing ecosystem that maximizes human potential for the betterment of humanity.

As part of its unveiling, HONOR showcased four innovative AI technologies that promise to revolutionize mobile interactions. Among the highlights was the introduction of the first personal AI mobile agent, which utilizes a graphical interface to refine day-to-day convenience. Demonstrated in partnership with Google Cloud and Qualcomm Technologies, this AI agent is designed to assist users in making reservations through third-party services while intuitively considering existing calendar appointments and real-time traffic information. HONOR plans to roll out this AI-enhanced experience across international markets soon.

In addition to personal assistance, HONOR introduced AiMAGE, a new imaging brand that employs AI-driven technology to dramatically enhance mobile photography. AiMAGE is powered by AI Kernel, the industry's first solution that accommodates device-cloud AI models. Locally, this system utilizes a sophisticated 1.3 billion-parameter model, yielding a remarkable 50% improvement in image clarity. The cloud counterpart boasts an impressive 12.4 billion-parameter model, significantly enhancing image quality—particularly for telephoto shots. Furthermore, HONOR's collaborative efforts with partners like Google Cloud aim to bolster the versatility of their imaging offerings, integrating increasingly intuitive AI features into their smartphones.

One standout feature is AI Upscale, a new function capable of restoring old portraits. This will be gradually made available on the HONOR Magic7 series, optimized by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite mobile platform and set for release in March.

HONOR also made headlines by introducing the world’s first complete file-sharing technology within an ecosystem. This allows users to experience ultra-fast file transfers across multiple devices, regardless of whether they utilize iOS or Android systems. Moreover, upcoming devices will incorporate AI Deepfake detection, ensuring users' security in the evolving digital landscape.
