Background of the Event

This event is part of a community partnership initiative aimed at revitalizing local sports facilities, specifically focusing on the rehabilitation of public pools at Tobu Park and the utilization of the former pool site at Hagiiyama Park. Plans are in motion to establish pickleball courts within these parks to accommodate the growing interest in this sport. Ahead of the facility's opening, the event aims to showcase the charm of pickleball to the community and foster opportunities for intergenerational exchanges through sports.

The consortium led by Hooja Wellness & Sports was selected by Kodaira City in August 2025 as a preferred negotiator for the community collaborative project regarding pool rehabilitation and park utilization.
