Moss Expands Its Creative Production Footprint with Stretch Shapes Acquisition

Moss's Bold Move: Acquiring Stretch Shapes

In a significant strategic expansion, Moss, a leader in premium graphics and custom installations, has officially acquired Stretch Shapes, a revered supplier of fabric-based solutions that create immersive environments for live events. This acquisition, announced on January 22, 2025, not only broadens Moss’s production abilities but also strengthens its role within the dynamic world of live event experiences.

Stretch Shapes, established in Eugene, Oregon, has spent over 15 years transforming simple spaces into immersive brand experiences with its versatile stretch fabric structures. Their renowned installations have graced illustrious events such as Coachella, Formula One races, and PGA tournaments, serving notable clients including Live Nation and BaAM Marketing. Led by founder Niko Mantele, the dedicated Stretch Shapes team of over 40 professionals is celebrated for delivering high-quality, creative solutions that elevate live event productions.

A Perfect Synergy

Moss President and CEO, Jason Popp, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting, "Stretch Shapes is a tremendous business that has successfully identified a significant market opportunity. Niko Mantele's talent in delivering compelling products alongside his motivated team aligns perfectly with our mission to exceed client expectations and uphold the highest standards."

As part of the integration process, the Stretch Shapes team will remain intact, ensuring a seamless transition. Mantele will step into the role of Vice President of Event and Experiential Product Development at Moss, while Nancy Willcox Trent will manage plant operations on the West Coast. Together with Moss’s senior executives, they aim to create enhanced value for clients and promote growth opportunities for the combined workforce.

A New Chapter for Stretch Shapes

The acquisition marks a pivotal moment for Stretch Shapes, coinciding with their 15th anniversary. Mantele articulated, "Joining Moss is a perfect alignment with our core values, allowing us to advance our mission of crafting extraordinary experiences. Being part of a larger global entity offers exciting prospects for our growth."

This acquisition is Moss's second in just over a year, a period that began with the purchase of UK-based Macro Art, which now operates as Moss UK. Moss continues to deliver high-quality services to clients around the world, with operations extending across the U.S., Germany, Poland, and the UK.

About Moss and Stretch Shapes

With over 45 years of expertise in the field, Moss has established itself as a premier production partner for branded experiences across various sectors, including exhibits, live events, retail, and environments. The company is a portfolio of investment funds managed by EagleTree Capital, which has maintained a focus on growth through strategic acquisitions and innovation.

Stretch Shapes, on the other hand, is dedicated to providing customizable tension fabric solutions that enrapture event spaces and elevate branded experiences to new heights.

This acquisition is expected to deepen Moss's capabilities in the ever-expanding live event industry, solidifying its leadership and fostering innovative collaborations that promise to redefine the landscape of brand and event engagements.
