Exciting Presentations Ahead: WAVE Program Results on March 18
The WAVE Program, an initiative dedicated to fostering innovation among local businesses in Wakayama Prefecture, will hold a results presentation event on March 18, 2026. Organized by AlphaDrive, this event serves as a culmination of the program's efforts over the past six months. Participants will have the opportunity to witness innovative project pitches from six enthusiastic companies and engage in insightful discussions during a dedicated talk session.
What is the WAVE Program?
The WAVE Program is designed to support Wakayama-based enterprises in navigating changes in their business environments and fostering new growth opportunities through open innovation. The initiative encourages businesses to collaborate, transcending traditional boundaries to create new value. The name “WAVE” symbolizes the Kuroshio current that flows along Wakayama, reflecting the program’s goal to inspire a wave of transformation among local companies.
This year's program is jointly conducted by AlphaDrive, specialized in new business development and open innovation support, and Unij, creating an environment where local companies can thrive. Participants have had the chance to tailor their involvement through two distinct tracks:
- - DIVE Course (Support-Based): Personalized mentoring from experts helps businesses identify customer challenges, refine project proposals, and explore potential collaborators comprehensively.
- - TRY Course (Workshop-Based): Participants experience practical processes for addressing customer issues through lectures and workshops, gaining foundational skills in open innovation.
Who Should Attend?
1.
Individuals Interested in Business Innovation: This is a perfect opportunity for those keen to learn how Wakayama companies have tackled specific customer challenges and evolved their business proposals. You can gain insight into their practical processes and successful outcomes directly.
2.
Future Innovators: If you’re considering engaging in new business development or open innovation, attending this event will offer the ideal venue to learn from experts’ experiences and gather practical advice for your own journey.
