DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. (DMMI) has made history by celebrating the graduation of its largest class of skilled trades apprentices. This remarkable achievement, coming in the year that marks the company's 40th anniversary in Battle Creek, showcases DENSO's dedication to nurturing talent and advancing manufacturing excellence. A total of 11 apprentices graduated from the program, which underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to skill development.

The Apprenticeship Program Overview

DMMI operates a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program, which has garnered recognition as a Registered Apprenticeship Champion from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) in 2024. This rigorous four-year program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training under the supervision of experienced skilled trades professionals.

As these apprentices transition into their roles as journeymen, they will play crucial functions in various specializations, including tool and die making, machine repair, and electrical work. The program aims to equip them with the necessary skills to contribute to DENSO's promise of innovative manufacturing and product evolution.

Since its inception in 2003, DENSO has graduated 77 apprentices, exemplifying its dedication to systematic talent cultivation.
