GAC's Global Expansion: Export Sales Soar Amidst Strong Ecosystem Development

GAC's Global Ecosystem Takes Shape

The Hanshin automotive giant, GAC, has recently revealed its impressive overseas performance report for 2025, announcing a staggering export figure of over 130,000 vehicles. This represents a remarkable year-on-year growth of 45%, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global strategy.

GAC has embarked on a striking journey over the past two years. Starting with 45,000 units sold overseas in 2023, the momentum rapidly increased to 90,000 units in 2024, which culminated in over 130,000 units sold by the end of 2025. This impressive trajectory not only reflects GAC's robust business capability but also places it firmly among the top eight independent Chinese brands in terms of export volume; thus, establishing itself as a trailblazer in the global automotive market.

A significant factor driving this remarkable growth is GAC’s commitment to creating a comprehensive ecosystem that resonates with their vision of being a "Tech-Driven GAC, Advancing Global Reach with a Full-Chain Ecosystem." By leveraging their high-quality products, cutting-edge technology, premium services, and a complete value chain ecosystem, GAC is paving the way for an extensive and effective global expansion.

At the 2025 Bangkok International Auto Show, GAC updated its global strategy, evolving from the original "One GAC" to a more comprehensive "One GAC 2.0". This new strategy is centered around a unified vision, objective, and branding, aiming at more localized initiatives like "Thailand Action," "Brazil Action," and "Australia Action". GAC’s strategy focuses on five key pillars consisting of products, distribution networks, services, smart manufacturing, and energy ecosystems.

In 2025, the company launched five new models in foreign markets, expanded into 16 new territories, including Brazil, Poland, Portugal, Australia, and Argentina. This expansion enables GAC to reach a total of 86 countries and regions worldwide while increasing its global dealership network from 349 to an impressive 630 outlets. Production has also kicked off in Indonesia and Malaysia, along with steady progress on a project in Europe, keeping up with GAC's ambitious goals.

With 2026 in sight, GAC is poised for a landmark year as it aims for a target of exporting 250,000 units. This goal signifies GAC’s second growth curve following its successful "Panyu Action" and positions the brand as a benchmark for the global outreach of Chinese automotive companies. GAC's proactive approach to integrating local markets into its global strategy is indicative of its commitment to be "in the local, for the local", thus enhancing its branding while fortifying its presence in international landscapes.

As GAC continues to grow, the automotive industry is watching closely, eager to see how this dynamic brand executes its ambitious plans and what innovations it will bring as part of the global automotive ecosystem.
