On December 23, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, a unique opportunity awaits as the RK LLC hosts the "SES Mapping Business Card Exchange" at GUILD VALLEY in Shibuya, Tokyo. This event is specifically designed to enhance business networking within the System Engineering Service (SES) industry and is completely free to attend for the first 50 registrants.
Networking events have long relied on traditional business card exchanges, yet the SES industry faces challenges due to complex transactional chains and inefficient connections that make it difficult to find valuable business interactions. Recognizing this struggle, RK LLC aims to transform the conventional model by implementing a real-time mapping system to visualize needs such as "project offerings" and "talent sourcing." This interactive approach enables participants to connect swiftly with those who best match their professional requirements.

Background to the Event:
The inspiration behind this initiative arose when my sister transitioned from her previous employment to enter the SES sector in October 2025. Witnessing her navigate this challenging landscape made me realize the myriad difficulties faced by individuals entering the industry independently. To provide a supportive environment, I founded RK LLC. My observations of the SES ecosystem revealed inefficiencies rampant throughout traditional networking events.
Participants often face immediate categorization: "Are you looking for project offerings, talent sourcing, development opportunities, or infrastructure support?" The disconnect between incoming projects often results in mismatched expectations regarding price and conditions. Additionally, the trade flow lacks transparency, with pricing dominating discussions without adequately addressing the substance behind the person or project involved.
Having entered the SES industry without a background in it, this outsider perspective enabled me to candidly assess conventions that might seem fundamentally flawed. My position encourages me to be less concerned with adhering to industry standards and more willing to address obvious discrepancies. I believe that by putting a spotlight on these issues, we can enhance communication and interaction effectively.
In planning this event, I wish to create a platform where traditional networking practices are enhanced by real-time visibility into projects, personnel, and areas of expertise, enabling attendees to engage meaningfully without unnecessary barriers or misunderstandings.
Looking Ahead:
Following this inaugural exchange, we have plans for a second event aimed at facilitating connections between SES companies and potential direct development partners. This initiative will provide a space for businesses eager to expand from SES to contracted development, addressing the need for partnerships and opportunities. We intend to design a matching event specifically linking startups with SES firms transitioning into contract development.
To align with this vision, our service "Es-ten" implements a unique approach:
- - We only handle projects with clear connections from end clients or primary contractors.
- - We facilitate matching based on a single meeting charged at 20-30% of the total project value (approximately three months' worth).
- - Once connections are made, we step back from the transaction, allowing parties to maintain independent communication.
Instead of gradually altering the SES landscape from within, I prefer actively addressing its quirks and inefficiencies directly. I am committed to organizing events and creating systems that genuinely reflect the needs and dynamics of the SES industry. Through initiatives like the SES Mapping Business Card Exchange, we will continue to push for a more streamlined and effective networking experience in SES.
