Create a Memorable Summer with RoboCube
As summer vacation comes to a close, what better way to wrap it up than by creating unforgettable memories? For families looking for an educational yet fun activity, RoboCube is offering a free robotic programming workshop tailored for elementary students in Ueno, Tokyo.
Event Overview
On August 22nd and 23rd, 2026, RoboCube will hold a special 'Parent-Child Robot Programming Experience.' This hands-on workshop is aimed at children in the 3rd grade and above, along with their parents, to explore the wonders of technology and programming together. The event is entirely free of charge, but pre-registration is mandatory, with attendance capped at six families per session.
Why RoboCube?
RoboCube seeks to clarify the mechanics behind everyday objects, utilizing programming to uncover the 'why' behind common devices. Attendees will have the opportunity to construct a functioning traffic light or fan using block-building techniques, learning how to program these devices to operate according to their own designs. It’s more than just assembly; it’s about nurturing problem-solving skills and logic through trial and error.
Workshop Highlights
- - Interactive Learning: Each session will last approximately 90 minutes, allowing families to delve into a unique learning experience that emphasizes 'learning through doing.'
- - Critical Thinking Development: Participants will refine their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities as they navigate the challenges of programming their creations to work as intended.
- - Parent-Child Bonding: Besides the educational aspect, parents will also gain insight into modern programming education and witness their child's cognitive and creative growth firsthand.
