This series is tailored for creators and individuals who wish to use AI-generated content confidently and responsibly.
The seminars, structured into four distinct sessions, will cover essential topics related to copyright in the context of generative AI.

- Content: What is copyright? What is protected, and what is not? An overview of moral rights and economic rights.
- - Session 2: "Who Owns the Copyright of AI-Generated Works? Important Considerations for Commercial Use (Part 1)"
- Content: Understanding copyright in the context of AI-generated works, commercial usage considerations, and distinguishing between learning phases and usage phases.
- - Session 3: "Who Owns the Copyright of AI-Generated Works? Important Considerations for Commercial Use (Part 2)"
- Content: An overview of rights restrictions, real-life trouble cases, and a simple checklist for prompts and more.
- - Session 4: "Getting Ahead of the 2026 Norms! What is the Creator Registration System?"
- Content: Overview of the new "Individual Creator Rights Registration System" coming into effect, along with its adjudication systems.
The seminars will be led by Makiko Hasegawa, a certified intellectual property management specialist. Hasegawa brings extensive knowledge and experience to the table, having worked in patent applications and corporate intellectual property management. Her insights will elucidate the complexities of copyright in the AI era, touching on the balance between protecting rights and fostering creativity.
