Quest Events Realigns Structure for Enhanced Focus on Rental and Scenic Sectors

In an effort to boost market focus and ensure sustainable growth, Quest Events has announced a strategic organizational realignment. This initiative comes on the heels of their recent acquisitions of EventWorks and Marquee Event Rentals, as well as the integration of Drape Kings.

Over the past two years, Quest Events has been working on integrating its diverse event rental, drape, and scenic services under a unified operational model. As the integration matured, the company identified a vital opportunity for enhanced profitability and market share by distinguishing its rental operations from its scenic and drape production services.

New Organizational Structure

As part of the new framework, Quest Events will operate distinct platforms:
  • - Quest Events
  • - Drape Kings, operating as a subsidiary of Quest Events
  • - A D Scenery, also a subsidiary of Quest Events
  • - EventWorks, which now includes the Marquee Event Rentals operation

This reorganization recognizes the varying market dynamics, customer engagement methods, and operational priorities that exist between scenic/drape production and comprehensive event rental services. Lee Dunlap, the Founder and CEO of Quest Events, remarked, "The insights gained from building an integrated model have been invaluable. We believe that this focused structure will enhance clarity and responsiveness in each brand’s strategic direction."

Strategic Market Focus

Under the revamped organization, the strategy also includes countrywide operational adjustments. For instance, in Texas, there will be separate locations for Quest and EventWorks in both Austin and Dallas, while Kansas City will exclusively operate under the EventWorks brand. Additionally, Nashville and Atlanta will each have distinct Quest and EventWorks locations, and Birmingham will revert to the EventWorks brand.

Despite these structural changes, the company assures clients and partners that senior management leadership remains unchanged, thereby ensuring continuity in strategic alignment across all operations. Moreover, operational and sales leadership will be uniquely focused within each brand to enhance client service and responsiveness.

Long-Term Vision for Growth

It's important to note that this realignment is driven by Quest Events' long-term growth strategy rather than immediate economic pressures. The intention is to realign each business line with its own profit model while catering to the unique demands of the market. As a result, the company anticipates an increase in operational efficiency, a clearer brand identity, and improved client service.

Ryan Birch, COO, added, "Our aim is to cultivate robust, focused entities that are primed to lead within their respective segments of the live events industry. This strategic realignment is a key stepping stone toward achieving that goal."

In conclusion, Quest Events continues to strive for excellence and innovation in the live events sector, ensuring uninterrupted service and heightened responsiveness during this transition. As they embark on this new chapter, clients and partners can look forward to engaging with an organization that is better positioned for success in the evolving landscape of live events.
