Brno: The Rising Star of the Gaming World



Brno, located in the heart of the Czech Republic, has swiftly become synonymous with exceptional game development, particularly highlighted by the recent release of Mafia: The Old Country. Published by 2K and crafted by Hangar 13, the title has remarkably sold around 800,000 copies within just four days, garnering positive reviews across platforms such as Metacritic and Steam. This level of success reinforces Brno's status as a vibrant center for noteworthy AAA titles.

The local ecosystem is thriving, supported in part by innovation agencies like JIC, which further facilitates the growth of the gaming industry in the region. Beyond Mafia, Brno is celebrated for its creative output; notable titles like Gray Zone Warfare, developed by Madfinger Games, reached great milestones by selling over 500,000 copies in its first four days post-launch. Furthermore, multiple teams in Brno contributed creatively to Kingdom Come Deliverance II.
