Call for Entries: Sustainable Practices Award 2025
Are you eager to share your sustainable initiatives on both domestic and international platforms? The
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is thrilled to announce that the
Sustainable Practices Award 2025 is officially open for applications! This award aims to honor video submissions that showcase innovative and sustainable practices related to agriculture and the food industry.
Overview of the Initiative
The
Sustainable Practices Award is part of the ongoing
Green Food System Strategy, which seeks to balance productivity in agriculture with sustainability through innovative solutions. This initiative works in collaboration with the Consumer Affairs Agency and the Ministry of the Environment under the
Ahunowa 2030 Project. The project aims to encourage efforts that promote sustainable consumption, biodiversity, and resource cycles in the food and agricultural sectors.
Application Period
The application window is from
August 1, 2025, to
October 31, 2025. Submissions will be evaluated based on their focus on sustainability, with awards for particularly outstanding entries including:

- - Minister of the Environment Award
- - Consumer Affairs Agency Commissioner Award
- - AgVenture Lab Award
Award Details
The categories for submission encompass a broad range of sustainable practices that address:
1. Combating global warming
2. Protecting biodiversity
3. Conserving water resources
4. Reducing waste
5. Community support systems
6. Soil preservation
Entries must relate to at least one of the above themes and should not adversely impact any other elements. If the initiative involves a product, its details should be verifiable through the respective organization's official website.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to any group that is focused on promoting sustainability within the food and agricultural sectors. This includes companies, schools, NGOs, local governments, and community groups. Individuals involved in agricultural ventures can also participate, regardless of their professional background. Even minors can enter, provided they obtain permission from a guardian.
How to Apply
Participants must create a video no longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds, which can be published on their organization's or company's YouTube channel (limited visibility allowed). Applicants must complete the online entry form and can submit up to three videos per organization.

Judging and Awards Ceremony
A specialized judging committee will evaluate submissions based on their adherence to sustainability principles and originality. Specific judging points include:

- - Additional points will be awarded for innovation, alignment with social issues, and quality of presentation.
Awards will be presented on
February 2, 2026. Outstanding submissions may also be converted into English versions to help promote sustainability efforts on a global stage.
