New Survey Highlights Administrative Burdens Impacting BCBAs' Patient Care Quality

The Challenge Facing Board Certified Behavior Analysts



In a profession that prides itself on care, compassion, and clinical excellence, the recent survey conducted by Rethink Behavioral Health (RethinkBH) exposes a concerning trend among Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Despite their strong dedication to their clients, many BCBAs find themselves overwhelmed by excessive administrative duties that detract from their primary goal: patient care.

The survey, known as the BCBA State of the Profession Survey 2025, highlights that a significant 61% of BCBAs express a wish to focus more on direct patient interactions rather than getting mired in administrative tasks. These findings are alarming as they reveal a profession at a critical juncture.
