On March 20, 2026, Texas Realtors proudly gathered in Austin to recognize exceptional contributions made by their members and local real estate associations during the annual winter meeting. The prestigious Texas Realtors Awards highlighted the outstanding dedication and excellence displayed by individuals and organizations within the real estate profession.

Acknowledging Excellence


Jennifer Wauhob, the President of Texas Realtors for 2026, stated, "The annual Texas Realtors awards give us a chance to celebrate extraordinary professionals and local organizations that play a pivotal role in making the real estate industry a significant force statewide." The awards emphasized the achievements of individuals who have made remarkable contributions to their communities while enhancing Texas's appeal as a fantastic place to call home.

Winner Highlights


1. Real Estate Agent of the Year 2025: The award was presented to Sarah Norman from Bryan-College Station, recognized for her integrity, service, and steadfast leadership throughout her four-decade career in real estate. Norman has significantly contributed to the profession's development and has served as a reliable mentor and advocate for agents across Texas. Her resume includes leadership roles in various committees at local, state, and national levels, showcasing her unwavering commitment to the real estate sector.

2. Distinguished Service Award: This honor went to Winn Sikes of Lubbock, highlighting her nearly five decades of voluntary service dedicated to the industry. Sikes has held various leadership roles and was instrumental in implementing advanced innovations like the first lockbox system for the association. Her continuous advocacy for political investment reflects her deep commitment to leadership and service in real estate.

3. William C. Jennings Award: Paula McDonald from Granbury received this award for her project that exemplified excellence in commercial real estate. McDonald successfully converted a long-vacant historic building in Granbury into a vibrant mixed-use destination, showcasing her expertise in balancing historical preservation with economic development.

4. Neighbor of the Year 2025: Cord Shiflet was recognized for his extensive community service, including leadership roles with organizations such as March of Dimes and Ballet Austin, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing community relations.

5. Educator of the Year 2025: Cassandra Davis was acknowledged for her remarkable three-decade career focused on education, homeownership, and community impact. As a senior instructor with Texas Realtors, she has dedicated over 15 years to training future real estate professionals and underscores the importance of knowledge and service in elevating the profession.

6. Richard Miranda Global Achievement Award: Hanne Sagalowsky, recognized for her leadership in global real estate practices and her dedication to international collaboration, received this award for her three decades of work fostering strong transnational relationships.

Educational Recognition


Additionally, several local associations were acknowledged for their exemplary educational programs:
  • - The San Antonio Board of Realtors received recognition for innovation.
  • - The Houston Association of Realtors excelled in marketing initiatives.
  • - The Lubbock Association of Realtors was honored for their short program series.

Community Engagement and Diversity


The Tom D. Morton Award for 2025 was awarded to Cade Fowler from the Lubbock Association for his exceptional leadership and commitment to community engagement and diversity efforts.
